Hope on the Slopes
When:   March 20 -21, 2009

American Cancer Society’s Hope on the Slopes - 24 Hour Vertical Challenge. There will be live music, a BBQ, a Cancer Survivor ceremony, and a torchlight parade. Plus skiing all night! This is a 24-hour ski challenge, to benefit Cancer research, and OHSU is among the beneficiaries. You can also sign up for only a 6-hour shift, or for 18 hours. The 24- hours will be from Friday 1:00 pm to Saturday 1:00 pm. All the shifts will end at the same time, on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Click here for details. 

Ski 4 Sunshine Free Ski Day

   Ski Free and help out local families in need. Just bring 4 cans of food and get a free 9am to 4pm day lift ticket. 

Suds on the Slopes

Where: Ski bowl
What:
   Ride all morning, then stop by the base and sample northwest microbrews and listen to live music. Then, stick around for America's Pond Skimming Championships as local skiers and riders launch themselves into a icy pond in a display of their mountain prowess. Whatever floats your boat.... Make sure to check out the Hot Dog Eating Contest too.

This Season's Ski/Snowboard Films
Did you miss any of the 2008 ski films that have already played in the Portland area? You can still view the film trailers here, but you'll either have to buy the DVD or rent it to see the entire film now.
